Countryside Cottages Reopening May 22nd.

Here at Countryside Cottages we are truly fortunate to have families who have been coming every summer for 10, 20, 30, 40, and yes, even 50 years. As we celebrate our 60 years in business (Est. 1960) it looks like this summer will have to be a little different. Keeping your health and safety are top priority we will be instituting new policies.

This summer guests will need to bring their own bedding. That includes linens, blankets, and pillows. This will allow us to protect our staff and guests.

Cabins will still have dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. However, we highly encourage guests to bring and use disposable paper products as recommended for restaurants to use.

Check in will be 5pm or later. This will allow our staff the time to thoroughly clean and disinfect the cottages.

There will be contactless check-ins. I will contact everyone 10 days before check in. At that point you may send a check, use a credit card, or use PayPal to settle your balance. If you prefer to use cash, we will set up a time for me to come by and pick it up.

The game room and playground playhouse will be closed this summer. The game room will still be accessible to guests renting the Lodge.

The pool will be open. We know many groups have made lifelong friendships with other groups that come the same weeks. We just ask that when conversing with other groups you practice good social distancing and wear a cloth mask when closer than 6 feet.

All guests should know that our county, Monroe, is still in the “red” phase for PA. Although we are allowed to be open there are many restrictions locally.  Restaurants are takeout only, masks are required at grocery stores, and most retail stores remain closed.  We are trending in the right direction though. Campgrounds and golf courses are now allowed open. We believe it will be another couple weeks before we move into the “yellow” phase.  We will keep you posted of any changes.

We understand that this is an evolving situation and things can quickly change. I will be reaching out this week to confirm all reservations for this summer.  If any group feels uncomfortable traveling or someone in the group gets sick beforehand do not worry about losing your deposit. We will work with you. We will just ask if you need to cancel within 2 weeks of your check-in day that you allow us to use your deposit for next summer.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly.
