Countryside Cottages Pet Policy/Waiver Form
Thank you for choosing to stay at Countryside Cottages with your pet(s). It is our intent to provide not only an enjoyable stay, but also a safe one. For the comfort and safety of all guests and pets we kindly request that all pet owners act responsibly with their pets. Please read, adhere, and agree to the following pet policies.
Acceptable Pets: We welcome all well-mannered, dogs, and cats. We reserve the right to require immediate removal of any pet that displays dangerous or unacceptable behavior, including, but not limiting to biting, excessive barking, evidence of disease, or any other issues management finds troublesome.
Pet Limit: Each Cottage has a limit of two pets. Guests found to have more than two pets will be asked to leave immediately without refund. This policy goes into effect January 1st, 2022. Regular guests with more then 5+ year history of bringing more then 2 pets may be grandfathered in at management’s discretion.
Vaccinations: Your pet should have all recommended vaccinations currently up-to-date, and you agree to obtain and provide current records from a licensed veterinarian should Countryside Cottages request this information at any time.
Leashes: Pets are to be leashed at all times while being outside. Pets are not to run loose off leash. You may know how well behaved and gently your pets are, but others may not. Our focus at Countryside Cottages is to provide an enjoyable and safe environment for families to enjoy their time together. That is why we allow pets. They are part of your family. However, we want parents to be able to let their kids be kids and to let those kids run around the fields and playground without worrying if a strange dog may be getting too close.
Tie out cables: Tie out cables for your pet are allowed under supervision. They should be no longer then 15 feet in length. Pets should not be able to reach the road in front of the cottage. Pets may only be tied up if the owner is present. Under no circumstance should a pet be tied up and the owner is not present outside with the pet. Any pet tied up outside with excessive barking will be asked to leave the property.
Walking your pet: Please feel free to walk your pet along the cottage road (Strand Drive) and in any of the open fields around Countryside Cottages. Please do not let your pet venture into the yards of other guests. Each cottage has a defined yard. Please respect that as a boundary for your pet. If you can not control your pet from going into other yards, we ask that you keep your pet confined to your own cottage’s yard.
Pool Area: Pets are not allowed into the pool area under any circumstance.
Other Guests’ Pets: Please refrain from your pet(s) interacting and or playing with other guests’ pets.
Pet Waste: Owners must pick up and dispose of their pet’s waste properly and quickly.
Damage Assessment: Guests are responsible for all personal injuries and/or property damage related to their pet(s). Guests will be responsible for all damages caused by their pet. Cottages will be inspected, and any damages will be placed on the guest’s account. Up to $500 damage charge may be applied to the credit card on file.
Additional Cleaning Fee: If it is found a pet has been urinating or defecating inside of the cottage an additional $125 cleaning fee will automatically be charged to the credit card on file.
Noise Complaints: Should noise from your pet(s) become an issue, our management will contact you to address the situation. If the issue is not addressed, we reserve the right to evict the guest with no refund.
Release and Indemnification: You agree to release, defend, and indemnify Countryside Cottages and its owner from any and all claims or damages related to your pet or your pet’s stay at the Countryside Cottages Resort, including any claims by third parties.
